foil cards
Shiny trading cards
Foil cards are trading cards printed on reflective metallic material that creates a shimmering, holographic effect.
Common in collectible card games like Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering, foils are rarer than standard cards and often more valuable: I pulled a foil rare from my first pack.
The term extends to sports cards and other collectibles with similar treatments.
