empath
Feels others' feelings
An empath is someone who feels others' emotions intensely, as if absorbing them.
The term gained currency in science fiction and New Age spirituality, describing people who claim heightened sensitivity to others' mental states: As an empath, crowded rooms exhaust me.
Often used loosely for anyone highly attuned to others' feelings.
