Prefers small gatherings
An introvert is a person who tends toward inner thoughts and feelings rather than external stimulation.
Introverts often prefer solitary activities or small groups to large social gatherings, and may feel drained by extensive interaction: As an introvert, she needed quiet time to recharge after parties.
The term comes from psychology but now describes personality more broadly.
