eReader
Portable book screen
An eReader is a handheld electronic device designed primarily for reading digital books and documents.
The screen typically uses e-ink technology, which mimics the appearance of paper and causes less eye strain than backlit displays.
I loaded a dozen novels onto my eReader before the flight.
Amazon's Kindle and the Kobo are popular examples.
Also spelled e-reader.
