page-turner
Can't stop reading
A page-turner is a book so engrossing you can't stop reading—you keep turning pages to find out what happens next: The thriller was a real page-turner; I finished it in one sitting.
The term applies mostly to plot-driven fiction like mysteries and suspense novels.
By extension, any gripping narrative or unfolding situation might be called a page-turner.
