duckpins
Compact bowling targets
Duckpins is a bowling game played with smaller pins and balls than standard tenpins.
The pins are shorter and squatter—supposedly resembling ducks—and the ball fits in the palm without finger holes.
Players get three rolls per frame instead of two.
The game is regional, concentrated in the Mid-Atlantic states: There's a duckpin alley in Baltimore that's been open since the 1920s.
