doorsill
Floor's entrance edge
A doorsill is the horizontal piece at the bottom of a doorway—the threshold you step over when entering.
It forms the base of the door frame, bridging the gap between floor surfaces: She swept the dirt off the doorsill.
The word is interchangeable with threshold in its literal sense.
