amateurish
Lacking polish throughout
Amateurish describes work or behavior that lacks the skill, polish, or professionalism expected of someone competent in a field.
Unlike *amateur*, which can be neutral or even admiring (suggesting passion without pay), amateurish is always critical: The production values were amateurish.
It implies clumsy execution, inadequate preparation, or failure to meet basic standards: an amateurish attempt at forgery.
