Spacecraft parking area
A docking bay is a designated area where vehicles connect to a larger structure for loading, unloading, or boarding.
The term appears most often in science fiction for spacecraft: The shuttle descended into the docking bay.
In industrial settings, it refers to warehouse loading areas where trucks back in to transfer cargo.
