direct debit
Scheduled bank pull
Direct debit is a payment arrangement authorizing a company or organization to withdraw money directly from your bank account, typically on a recurring basis.
Unlike a standing order, where you set the amount, with direct debit the payee determines how much to take: I pay my utilities by direct debit.
The term is more common in British than American English.
