scheduled payment
Recurring financial obligation
A scheduled payment is a payment arranged to occur automatically on a specified future date.
Banks and billing services allow customers to set up scheduled payments for recurring obligations like rent, utilities, or loan installments: I have a scheduled payment for my mortgage on the first of each month.
The term also applies to one-time payments set for a particular date rather than paid immediately.
