diablos

Fiends from hell

Diablos is the plural of diablo, Spanish for devil.

In English contexts, it typically appears in proper names—restaurants, sports teams, video game creatures—or in expressions borrowed from Spanish: ¡Diablos! as a mild oath.

The word retains its foreign flavor, used when "devils" would sound too plain.
