degree Fahrenheit
American thermometer reading
A degree Fahrenheit is a unit of temperature on the Fahrenheit scale, where water freezes at 32 degrees and boils at 212 degrees at sea level.
The scale is used primarily in the United States for weather, cooking, and everyday temperature references: It's supposed to hit 95 degrees Fahrenheit today.
Often shortened to just "degrees" in American contexts.
