Native American vine
Crossvine is a woody climbing vine native to the southeastern United States, named for the cross-shaped pattern visible when its stem is cut.
It produces clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers, typically orange-red with yellow throats, and climbs by tendrils.
The plant is valued in gardens for attracting hummingbirds.
