coastguards
Ocean rescue teams
Coastguards is the plural of coastguard—members of a maritime organization responsible for coastal defense, search and rescue, and enforcing maritime laws.
In the U.S., the Coast Guard is a branch of the armed forces; in Britain, it's a civilian rescue service.
The coastguards responded to the distress signal within minutes.
