chalk talk
Coach's strategy session
A chalk talk is an informal lecture or presentation where the speaker illustrates points by drawing or writing on a chalkboard or whiteboard.
The format emphasizes spontaneous explanation over polished slides, common in academic settings, coaching sessions, and business strategy meetings.
The professor preferred chalk talks to PowerPoint because they let him develop ideas in real time.
In sports, a chalk talk typically involves a coach diagramming plays for the team.
