hands-on learning
Learning by doing
Hands-on learning is education through direct experience rather than reading or listening.
Students build circuits, dissect frogs, or mix chemicals instead of just studying diagrams.
The approach assumes that doing something teaches it better than hearing about it: The cooking class emphasized hands-on learning from the first day.
Also called experiential learning or learning by doing.
