carbon copies
Identical office reproductions
Carbon copies are duplicates made by placing carbon paper between sheets while writing or typing, transferring the impression to pages beneath.
Before photocopiers, this was standard office practice.
The term now usually appears figuratively for exact duplicates: The twins were carbon copies of each other.
In email, cc (carbon copy) sends a message to additional recipients.
