canker sore
Painful oral lesion
A canker sore is a small, painful ulcer that forms inside the mouth—on the gums, tongue, or inner cheeks.
Unlike cold sores, canker sores aren't contagious and appear inside rather than outside the mouth.
They typically heal on their own within a week or two: I can't eat anything spicy with this canker sore.
