canework
Woven reed furniture
Canework is the craft of weaving cane—thin strips of rattan or similar material—into furniture, baskets, or decorative objects.
The term also describes the woven material itself or objects made from it: The chair's canework needs repair.
Canework appears on chair seats and backs, headboards, and cabinet doors, valued for its durability and ventilation.
