Shirts with closures
Button-ups are shirts that fasten with buttons down the front, as opposed to pullovers.
The term is casual and plural-only in this form—you'd say I need to iron my button-ups but call a single garment a button-up shirt or button-down.
Button-up and button-down are often used interchangeably, though button-down technically refers to collars that button to the shirt.
