brushwood
Tangled wild undergrowth
Brushwood is small branches, twigs, and undergrowth—the scrubby vegetation that accumulates in forests or is trimmed from trees.
It serves as kindling or rough fuel: They gathered brushwood for the fire.
The term also describes areas dense with such growth: The rabbit disappeared into the brushwood.
