border stone
Property line indicator
A border stone is a marker indicating a boundary between territories, properties, or jurisdictions.
These stones—sometimes carved with dates, initials, or official emblems—have historically defined the limits of nations, counties, or private land: The hikers found an old border stone marking where Pennsylvania meets Maryland.
