bocce ball
Lawn bowling game
Bocce ball is an Italian lawn game where players take turns tossing heavy balls toward a smaller target ball called the pallino, trying to land closest to it.
The game has ancient roots but remains popular in parks and backyards, especially in Italian-American communities.
Also spelled bocce or bocci; the "ball" is often dropped: We played bocce after dinner.
