battery test
Power level evaluation
A battery test is a procedure to check how much charge remains in a battery or whether it still holds charge properly.
The term applies to simple voltage checks on household batteries and to diagnostic procedures for car batteries and other power cells: The mechanic ran a battery test before replacing the alternator.
In education and psychology, a battery test refers instead to a series of related tests administered together to assess abilities or traits: The job applicants took a battery test measuring aptitude and personality.
