baster

Juice-squirting kitchen tube

A baster is a kitchen tool for moistening roasting meat with its own juices or a sauce.

The typical baster is a tube with a squeezable rubber bulb at one end—you draw up liquid from the pan and squirt it over the meat: She used the baster to keep the turkey from drying out.

To baste is to apply liquid this way during cooking.
