gobbler
Greedy fast eater
A gobbler is a male turkey, named for the gobbling sound it makes.
The word appears most often around Thanksgiving: We're picking up a twenty-pound gobbler from the farm.
Gobbler also means someone who eats greedily or quickly, from the verb gobble: He's such a gobbler—dinner was gone in five minutes.
