backticks
Accent marks reversed
Backticks are the angled quotation marks that slant leftward (`) rather than rightward like standard apostrophes.
In programming and technical writing, backticks enclose code snippets or literal text: Wrap the variable name in backticks.
On most keyboards, the backtick shares a key with the tilde, in the upper left corner.
