antilogarithms
Powers from exponents
Antilogarithms are numbers obtained by raising a base to a given power—the reverse operation of finding a logarithm.
If the logarithm of 100 (base 10) is 2, then the antilogarithm of 2 is 100.
Before calculators, students used antilogarithm tables to convert logarithms back into ordinary numbers.
Also called antilog.
