Sunset's fading light
Afterglow is the light remaining in the sky after the sun has set, or the lingering glow from any faded light source.
By extension, it describes the pleasant feeling that remains after a positive experience: basking in the afterglow of victory, the afterglow of good sex.
The word suggests warmth slowly fading rather than abruptly ending.
