Lingering evening light
Afterglows is the plural of afterglow—the light that lingers in the sky after the sun has set, when the horizon still holds color though the source is gone.
The word extends to any pleasant feeling that remains after an experience has ended: basking in the afterglow of victory, the afterglow of lovemaking.
