aeroembolism
Diver's bubble disease
Aeroembolism is a condition caused by gas bubbles forming in the blood or tissues, occurring when external pressure drops too rapidly.
Scuba divers ascending too quickly risk aeroembolism as dissolved nitrogen expands—commonly called the bends or decompression sickness.
Pilots and astronauts face similar dangers at high altitudes where cabin pressure fails.
