acquaint
Bring to awareness
To acquaint is to make someone familiar with something: Let me acquaint you with the facts.
The reflexive form is common: I need to acquaint myself with the new software.
To be acquainted with someone is to know them, though not necessarily well—acquaintances occupy the space between strangers and friends.
