acid washing
Bleaching jeans process
Acid washing is a fabric treatment, especially for denim, that uses chlorine or pumice soaked in bleach to create a faded, streaky appearance: acid-washed jeans.
The technique became emblematic of 1980s fashion.
Acid washing also refers to cleaning surfaces like concrete or pools with diluted muriatic acid to remove stains and deposits.
