Thousand Islands
Creamy pink condiment
Thousand Islands refers to an archipelago of nearly two thousand islands straddling the U.S.-Canada border in the Saint Lawrence River, a popular vacation destination since the nineteenth century.
The region lends its name to Thousand Island dressing, a creamy pink salad dressing made with mayonnaise, ketchup, and pickle relish: I'll have the wedge salad with Thousand Island.
