The Polar Express
The Polar Express is a 1985 children's picture book by Chris Van Allsburg about a boy who boards a magical train to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
The story, told through dreamlike illustrations and spare text, explores childhood belief in Santa Claus.
A 2004 computer-animated film adaptation made the title synonymous with holiday tradition: We watch The Polar Express every Christmas.
