The Nutcracker
Holiday stage classic
The Nutcracker is a ballet set to Tchaikovsky's score, traditionally performed during the Christmas season.
It tells the story of a girl whose nutcracker doll comes to life and battles the Mouse King before transforming into a prince.
The name also refers to the music itself: They played selections from The Nutcracker at the holiday concert.
