Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a fictional reindeer with a glowing red nose, created for a 1939 Montgomery Ward coloring book and later immortalized in the 1949 song.

In the story, his luminous nose—initially a source of mockery—saves Christmas by guiding Santa's sleigh through fog.

Rudolph has become a cultural symbol of the misfit who triumphs: She was the Rudolph of the department, weird until she became indispensable.
