Pixelated alien shootout
Space Invaders is a 1978 arcade video game in which the player shoots descending rows of alien attackers before they reach the bottom of the screen.
The game helped establish the shoot-'em-up genre and became a cultural phenomenon.
The pixelated alien design remains iconic: The company logo looks like a Space Invaders alien.
