Salisbury

Wiltshire's ancient city

Salisbury is a city in southern England, known for its medieval cathedral and proximity to Stonehenge.

The name also appears across former British colonies—cities in Maryland, North Carolina, Zimbabwe (now Harare), and Australia bear it.

Salisbury steak is a ground beef patty served with gravy, named for a 19th-century American physician who promoted minced beef as health food.
