Piper Cub
Classic yellow airplane
A Piper Cub is a small, lightweight single-engine airplane, originally manufactured by Piper Aircraft beginning in the 1930s.
The bright yellow two-seater became iconic in American aviation—used for training, crop dusting, and recreational flying.
Its simple design and forgiving handling made it synonymous with learning to fly: My grandfather soloed in a Piper Cub.
