Perspex
Transparent synthetic sheet
Perspex is a brand name for transparent acrylic plastic, used as a shatter-resistant alternative to glass.
The term is common in British English for any clear plastic sheeting, regardless of manufacturer: The shop windows were replaced with Perspex during the renovation.
Americans typically say Plexiglas.
