New Order

Restructured power system

New Order is a political or social system that replaces an old one, especially through revolutionary change.

The term carries sinister overtones from its Nazi associations—Hitler's regime promised a "new order" for Europe.

Contemporary use often echoes this: The dictator announced a new order for the nation.

More neutrally, it can describe any major restructuring: the new order of remote work.

New Order is also an influential British post-punk band formed in 1980.
