Miss Marple
Miss Marple is a fictional amateur detective created by Agatha Christie, an elderly English spinster who solves murders through sharp observation and knowledge of human nature gained in her village of St.
Mary Mead.
She appears in twelve novels and twenty short stories.
The name evokes a genteel but shrewd observer: She played Miss Marple, noticing everything while pretending to tend her knitting.
