ITV

Commercial UK television

ITV is a British commercial television network, the oldest and largest in the UK.

Founded in 1955 as Independent Television, it broke the BBC's broadcasting monopoly.

The name now refers both to the network of regional broadcasters and to ITV plc, the company that owns most of them: What's on ITV tonight?
