Mindfulness
Conscious present awareness
Mindfulness is the practice of maintaining calm, nonjudgmental awareness of the present moment—one's thoughts, feelings, and surroundings.
Rooted in Buddhist meditation traditions, it entered Western psychology as a therapeutic technique for stress reduction and mental health: mindfulness meditation, mindfulness-based therapy.
More loosely, mindfulness simply means attentiveness: She approached the task with mindfulness.
