Midgard
Mortals' Norse home
Midgard is the realm of humans in Norse mythology, literally "middle enclosure"—the world situated between the gods above and the dead below, connected to Asgard by the rainbow bridge Bifrost.
The term appears in fantasy literature, video games, and Marvel comics: The heroes defended Midgard from invasion.
Sometimes used poetically for Earth itself.
