Alfheim
Nordic light-elves' home
Alfheim is one of the nine worlds in Norse mythology, home to the light elves.
It appears in the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda as a realm of luminous beings, sometimes associated with the god Freyr.
The name appears in modern fantasy games and fiction as a setting for elven realms: The players traveled to Alfheim seeking the ancient artifact.
