Jotunheim
Norse giant homeland
Jotunheim is the realm of the giants in Norse mythology, one of the nine worlds connected by the world tree Yggdrasil.
It lies at the edge of the cosmos, a cold and mountainous wilderness where the jötnar—primordial beings often opposed to the gods—make their home.
The name translates roughly as "giant home." In modern fantasy games and fiction, Jotunheim appears as a frozen realm of monstrous creatures.
