Mexicano

Native of Aztec lands

A Mexican person, or something of or relating to Mexico.

The Spanish-language form appears in English contexts when speakers want to emphasize cultural identity or when code-switching: I'm Mexicano, born and raised in Guadalajara.

It carries a note of ethnic pride that the anglicized "Mexican" sometimes lacks.
